An itelligence based opeartion killed 12 militatnts in Lakki Marwat on Tuesday night, a statement fromt the Inter-Services Public relations said.

ISPR said that the targeted militants were being monitored for a week. They were ‘lured’ by offering a vehicle for their escape, which was then targeted to eliminate the terrorists.

Apart from weapons and ammunition, Afghan currency was also recovered from the militants.

The statement also said that locals had ‘lauded’ the operation.

Security forces have targeted militants in intelligence based operations in KP and Balochistan as terrorists attacks rise once again. A meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee in peshawar last friday also the civila nd military leadership reaffirming their resolve to fight terror at all levels.
