Authorities revise Peshawar bombing death toll to 84

Lady Reading Hospital said that the death toll from the Peshawar mosque attack on Monday stood at 84 instead of 102.

The hospital issued a final list of those martyred in the attack which corroborated the police’s version.

Post-mortem examinations have been conducted for all 84 people who died, which includes one female.

Original estimates had said that over 100 people including 97 policemen had died in the attack.

The attack took place in the police lines area in Peshawar, which also houses major security headquarters of the city.

IG KP had admitted that the attack was a security lapse but had sia that the bomber had been identified and investigation agencies are close to busting the network that was responsible for the attack.
