FBISE raises passing percentage to 40%
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced that the passing percentage for secondary and higher secondary levels from 33% to 40%.
The board’s rules apply throughout the federal capital and to “all other educational institution desirous to seek affiliation with the board from within country and from abroad including such institutions located within the jurisdiction of Cantonment Boards constituted under the Cantonments Act, 1924 as seek affiliation of the Board.”
The FBISE has a relatively high percentage of students that pass the exams at SSC and HSSC level. In the last announced result for SSC-II, 86.58% of the students were announced to have passed the exam.
For the last few years the board has been organising exams twice in a year to help the students who wish to improve their grades. In the past, these students would have to appear with the next batch. In the second batch of exams in 2022, 73.6% students passed SSC-I and 61.7pc cleared SSC-II.
