Contents of Sara Inam’s bag revealed in court
The police constable who responded to the report of Sara Inam’s murder in Islamabad gave revealed in court that the alleged murderer Shahnawaz Amir himself helped recover the victim’s posession and handed them to the police.
Constable Muhammad Sarfraz told a district and sessions court in Islamabad that Sara Inaam’s possessions are still in the farm house where she was murdered. He also said that the Shahnawaz told the police about Sara’s mobile phone which was then recovered from the farm houe’s lawn. He also said that the phone was broken.
The constable also told the court that the yellow bag that the deceased was carrying on the day of her death was recovered from the place of death. The bag carried Rs 15,000, AED 2,700 and USD 100. An airplane ticket, carrying the date September 22, was also found from the bag. Her laptop was also revoered by the police. During a description of the victim’s personal belongings, her father Inam ur Raheem burst into tears.
The police has also made Shahnawaz’s bank statements and call records part of the case’s record. Samina Shah, mother of the alleged killer who has been made part of the investigation has also handed over the jewellery gifted to her by the victim.
Sara’s father also presented a USB in court that contained messages sent by Shahnawaz to Sara.

Sara Inam, 37, was allegedly murdered by her husband Shahnawaz Amir at a farm house in Islamabad in September last year by a blow to the head with a dumbell. They were married early in 2022.
So far, the statements of 12 official witnesses have been recorded in the case while four of them have also been cross examined. The hearing was adjourned till February 2.
