PCB considering Afghanistan’s proposal to play ODIs in March
Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has contacted Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for an ODI series between both sides later this year.
The development was made after Cricket Australia called off three-match series scheduled to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later this year citing Taliban moves to further restrict women’s rights.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) expressed disappointment and said the board will take the matter to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Meanwhile, the PCB think-tank is considering the option of playing the series after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.
If it all goes as planned then Pakistan might play three Super League matches in March before the New Zealand tour of Pakistan.
It is worth mentioning here that Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq pulled out of the Big Bash League (BBL) after Australia cancelled the series.
