Remove the objectionable content from internet relating to actor Kubra Khan. Remain vigilant. Appear in front of the Sindh High Court along with record on January 09 “without fail” until the matter is fixed.

This is what the court told FIA and PTA officials in its order on Thursday. The order came after the Sinf-e-Aahan actor filed a petition about the hate campaign against her on social media. Along with three other actors, she has been at the receiving end after a retired soldier Adil Raja allegedly made serious allegations about them in his vlog centred on former army and spy chief.

Raja, known for his pro-PTI stance, in his vlog on New Year’s eve shared four initials. He claimed they belonged to actresses and models, suggesting they were used as ‘honey-traps’ for high-ranking officers at intelligence safe houses that were bugged.

Social media users were quick to pounce on the four initials. The four initials mentioned by Adil Raja are: MK, MH, SA and KK or AK. There has been some confusion whether the last set of initials is KK or AK but it has resulted in a strong reaction from the actors who share these initials.

Kubra as a British citizen, had threatened to take Raja to court in the UK. Raja fled Pakistan in last year, safely resurfacing in the UK shortly after claims that he had gone ‘missing’.

The actor has named as many as 27 social media accounts in her petition, which according to her carried the YouTube video. They are as follows:

“Through various channels, including YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, illegal acts have been committed by a host of [abovementioned] individuals which are strictly cognizable under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016,” it said.

The application said that the retired soldier “clarified” the issue and “retracted” from his earlier version in another video on January 3. However, it “irreparably” damaged the reputation of the actresses.

“So now.. I leave it in your hands, Our law Implementors and God’s Hands. I rest my case,” the actor said in an Instagram post before sharing her ordeal. She also shared the pictures of SHC order.

The two respondents, PTA and FIA, have not even made acknowledgment of the complaints lodged to them, the petition said. It added that such an action violated the rights of the petitioner.

Raja also reacted to the development. “My intention was never to target any women,” he said.

He further clarified that the aim was to “pinpoint a bigger problem” pertinent to the system.

“I am profoundly sorry for the distress caused by speculations arising due to me giving initials, which didn’t include yours,” Raja said and appealed to the people to avoid speculations without proof.

Celebrities have come in support of their fellow artists. They have condemned it and called for respecting the work they had done over the years.

“Until this story die, another arises to do the same damage just because we didn’t speak up. But enough is enough,” Kubra said.
