Fakhar, Haris added to Pakistan probables for New Zealand ODI

The Men’s Interim National Selection Committee has added Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail into the probables for the three ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches against New Zealand.

All three 50-over games will be played here at the National Bank Cricket Arena on 9, 11 and 13 January.

In a tweet, interim chief selector Shahid Afridi confirmed that the duo have passed their fitness tests on Friday.

Initially, Fakhar Zaman along with Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi (injured) and Zahid Mehmood were not named in probables list.

The committee has already named 21 probables for the series. The 16-player squad will be announced following the conclusion of the Pakistan Cup and during the second Test, which will also be played at the same venue from 2-6 January.

Opener Sharjeel Khan was named after playing his 25th and final ODI in January 2017, while Shan Masood, who played against Australia in five ODIs in the UAE in 2019, has also been included in the probables list.
