The joint investigation team (JIT), formed to inquire into the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in Wazirabad, summoned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and PML-N senior leader Javed Latif for investigation.

A notification has been issued to them to appear at Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore office on December 17.

PTI chief Imran Khan and at least 14 others, including party leaders, had received bullet injuries when the PTI’s long march was attacked while passing through Wazirabad. One participant of the march was killed during the attack.

The suspect, Naveed, was caught red-handed at the crime scene along with the weapon he used.
