Following the shocking revelation regarding trafficking of girls in Karachi, the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered the interior department on Friday to form a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the matter of human trafficking.

The court ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to start an investigation into the matter of human trafficking and summoned SSP city and the FIA officials to the next hearing.

During today’s hearing, the 14-year-old girl, who was reportedly kidnapped from the metropolis, stated that she was sold three times to smugglers.

The courageous girl told the court that she managed to escape but revealed that 14 or 15 more girls were in the traffickers’ captivity.

The accused, Adnan, told the court that he had nothing to do with the teenage girl’s abduction and that he married the woman involved in the abduction after friendship on Facebook.

The court directed the concerned authorities to present the details of the case on January 9.

The court ordered all the concerned authorities to take this matter seriously and arrest these smugglers.

Earlier a case of the teenage girl’s abduction was registered at the Eidgah police station in Karachi.
