CHAGHI: The RCD highway was blocked by relatives of a murdered young man on Friday. Long queues of vehicles lined up the road that connects Pakistan with Iran.

Sanaullah Notezai, who belonged to Dalbandin, was killed yesterday in Killa Khudai Rahim. The deceased’s relatives took the body and staged a protest near the Western Bypass on the RCD highway.

They spent the entire Thursday night on the road. Assurances from DC Chaghi and the local DPO failed to get them to end the protest.

The relatives said that they had registered an FIR against five people who belonged to the outlawed Jaish ul-Adl. They said they would not end their protest until the nominated culprits were arrested.

They also asked the authorities to establish their writ in the area to ensure that militancy does not claim more lives.
