Azam Swati
Balochistan High Court ordered closure of all cases against Azam Swati in the province on Friday.
The ruling was made by Justice Hashim Kakar in a petition filed by Swati’s son.

This is Swati’s second arrest on the same issue. The first came in August of this year, when Swati was picked up from his home without a warrant. He later alleged he had been subjected to torture in cutody.
Imran Khan
An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad extended Imran Khan’s interim bail on Friday. He will now be required to appear in court on December 19, reported Aaj News’ Asif Naveed.
Imran Khan had been summoned in a case of obstructing the government. The case was filed after PTI workers took to the streets to protest Imran Khan’s disqualification by the election commission.
Imran Khan’s counsel Babar Awan told the court that the PTI chief cannot appear in court due to being present in Lahore, where he is recovering from wounds sustained in an assassination attempt.
The court exempted Imran Khan from appearing in person and adjourned the proceedings.
