Drone crashes into Orange Line train station in Lahore
LAHORE: A drone crashed into the Orange Line train station in Ali Town on Wednesday, said the police, adding that the drone fell in the washing area of the train.
Upon getting information, the bomb disposal, forensic team and related authorities reached the spot and took the drone parts into custody. According to the police no explosives were found in the drone.
An FIR has been registered against the unknown persons on the complaint of the terminal in-charge.
Meanwhile, the police said that the owner of the drone had been traced and was identified as Hamid. He is being investigated, the police said and added that during the investigation the owner of the drone said that the drone fell in the washing area of the train after it went out of range.
They said that after the drone crashed, Hamid’s sons came to the station to get their drone back.
The police said that drone would be sent to Islamabad for forensics. They said that drone flights were not allowed over sensitive areas in the city.
