It’s a girl, announced Indian actor Ali Bhatt, wife of Ranbir Kapoor, in an Instagram post. One of the most loved Bollywood couples embraced parenthood on Sunday.

“And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love. Blessed and obsessed parents! Love, love, love, Alia and Ranbir,” she said on Sunday.

The couple was spotted arriving at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai on Sunday morning for the delivery, Pinkvilla reported.

Their family – led by Alia’s mother Soni Razdan and Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor – reached the hospital soon after, the Hindustan Times reported.

Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor confirmed it to the news outlet. “In France right now, but can’t wait to see the newborn! We are all very excited! Mom (Neetu Kapoor) will FaceTime me the minute she sees her,” she said.

The two recently hosted a baby shower for which Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, cousin Karisma Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor’s wife, Neila Devi arrived at their Vastu home in the Pali Hill area of Mumbai.

The couple tied the knot in April this year.
