Sadiq Sanjrani on Saturday announced that a parliamentary committee will examine Senator Azam Swati’s leaked video issue and then compile a report.

Members of all political parties will be made part of the committee, a statement from the Chairman Senate said. The report prepared by the committee will be presented to the house.

Terming the issue of the video leak shocking, Sanjrani said Swati was like an elder brother to him and both had family ties going back a long time.

In Saturday’s press conference where he made the startling revelations, Swati had said that Sanjrani referred to his wife as his ‘aunt’. Without making the allegation directly, he seemed to consider Sanjrani an accomplice in the video leak issue.

Swati alleged that the lodging where the intimate video was recorded was suggested to him by Sanjrani. “You told me that no supreme court judge was in town which is why I should stay there.”

Social media had erupted in disgust after Swati, 70, broke down in a press conference alleging that an intimate had been shared with his wife by a private number.
