Imran Khan not mincing words on army leadership
The standoff in Pakistan has pitted the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf not only against the PDM-led coalition government but also the country’s armed forces, with Imran not mincing words in his criticism of what many have claimed to be his erstwhile benefactors.
In a recent interview with BBC Urdu’s Tarub Asghar, the popular leader termed Thursday’s joint [press conference][1] by ISI chief Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum and Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar as foolish.

In his speech before the long march, Imran Khan had criticized Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ISI chief General Nadeem Anjum by name. He also demanded the removal of two ISI officers from their posts who he said were involved in the [custodial torture][2] of PTI Senator Azam Swati.

He added that the PTI won the 2018 election on its own and no one facilitated the victory.
