LAHORE: A fifteen-year-old girl has been rescued by police near a truck stop station. According to police, she was kidnapped from her locality of Shakargarh.

The victim told the police in her statement there were four people, two females and two men, who abducted her for prostitution and they were taking her to Islamabad.

The police said the criminals had previous records.

The police said that when the kidnappers’ car stopped at the bridge, where the victim was shouting for help, a passerby reported it to the police.

Eyewitness Muhammad Faisal told Aaj News that he noticed something suspicious about the car so he instantly reported the matter to the police.

One of the women told the police that they were just trying to offer the victim a lift.

The teenager has been returned to her parents and an FIR has been registered against the kidnappers and an investigation is in process.
