Rupee gets further strong as dollar depreciates
Local currency appreciates by 79 paisa in early morning trade
The rupee gained 79 paisa against the dollar in the inter-bank market on Wednesday. The local currency was being traded at Rs217 in the early morning trade.
The rupee closed at Rs217.79 in the inter-bank market on Tuesday, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The central bank reported on Tuesday that workers’ remittances recorded an inflow of $2.4 billion, indicating a decrease of 10.5 per cent over the previous month, in September 2022.
