Imran Khan directs party leaders to get ready for ‘Haqeeqi Azadi March’
Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan directed the party leadership to get ready for ‘Haqeeqi Azadi March’ (real freedom march), saying that he would call for a long march to Islamabad this week.
Imran Khan’s statement came during a meeting regarding the preparations for PTI’s final call against the government held at his Bani Gala residence.
The former premier directed the provincial and district leadership of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to complete preparations for the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi March’ and ensure the participation of workers and people in it.
The PTI chief urged workers to get all preparations ready for the decisive round of anti-government protests.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that preparations for his party’s march had entered the final stage, adding that party organizations in all districts would lead the march.
Earlier on Saturday, PTI leaders expressed their concern over the return of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s acquittal by the Islamabad High Court in the Avenfield properties corruption reference.
However, some of the party leaders on social media have hinted that the protest could also start on October 7.
