TTP top commander Khalid Khorasani reportedly killed in Paktika
Top commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Abdul Wali also known as Omar Khalid Khorasani has been reportedly killed in a landmine blast along with his companions in Afghanistan.
Khorasani and his companions including Mufti Hassan and Hafiz Dawlat were killed after their vehicle hit a roadside mine in the Saraki Kilay area of Afghanistan’s Paktika province.

Khorasani belonged to Mohmand tribal district of Pakistan and was said to be in charge of the Mohmand branch of the TTP.
Dawlat, from the Orakzai tribal district, was considered to be an important member of the group and a close trustee of Khorasani.
Hassan belonged to Malakand Division and was one of the TTP leaders who pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the deceased leader of the Islamic State.
