Former president Asif Ali Zardari is Covid positive
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took to Twitter, on Thursday, to say that former president Asif Ali Zardari, tested positive for Covid-19.
Zardari travelled to Dubai earlier this week to celebrate his 67th birthday with his grandson. The PPP co-chairperson was born on July 26, 1955.
Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari also tweeted, saying that Zardari’s PCR test was positive when he landed in Dubai.
Zardari has mild symptoms, which he was resting off and is now on the fourth day of his isolation. He would return to Pakistan after he recovers, Bakhtawar said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also sent best wishes to Zardari and wished him a speedy recovery=.
There have been 761 new cases and eight deaths in the country in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has risen to 3.65 per cent.
