  • Pakistan’s coronavirus trajectory has increased. At least one person died because of the virus over the last 24 hours, the National Institute of Health said. As many as 541 cases were reported.

  • Pakistan would soon get $2 billion from the International Monetary Fund, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said at a ceremony on Tuesday. He vowed that the amount collected through “super tax” would not be wasted.

  • Monsoon rains are expected from June 30. Moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are likely to enter in upper parts of the country from Wednesday (today) which may intensify and expand to the southern parts of the country by the end of this week.

  • City of lights remained in darkness for a most par of the day on Tuesday, as the city suffers from hours-long loadshedding. Mauripur residents protested and blocked the road, connecting Lyari Expressway.

  • Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the families of the missing persons will only get offended if the government mentioned its compulsions in such a matter.

  • The federal cabinet has decided to give the six-month multiple visa to Afghan transporters in order to boost trade with Central Asian countries. It has also given nod to Pakistan’s first solid waste management policy.
