Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund have made headway with negotiations for reviving the country’s bailout programme, the lender’s resident representative in Islamabad said. Sources said the global lender has agreed on Pakistan’s budget targets.

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook different parts of the country on Tuesday night. The epicentre was reported below the ground in Afghanistan, according to the USGS. The quake affected Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
