Adopted son arrested for allegedly killing Seth Abid’s daughter
The police Sunday said that Seth Abid’s daughter Farah Mazhar, who was shot dead on Saturday at her house in Lahore’s Muslim Town, was allegedly killed by her adopted son Fahad.
Police took Fahad into custody and started an investigation. They also arrested a house servant, Razia, for her alleged involvement in the crime.
The police said that accused Fahad with the help of the house servant attempted to destroy the evidence and tampered with the crime scene to give it a suicide colouring rather than a murder.
“The servant revealed that the suspect had shot his mother dead over marriage issue,” he said.
The house servant along with accused Fahad buried two pistols in the ground and concealed another in the kitchen.
A day earlier, Farah, 62, daughter of the late Seth Abid, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances at her house in Muslim Town, Lahore.
Police removed the body to the morgue for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has taken notice of the murder and sought a report from the IG Punjab.
