The much-discussed fantasy drama Brahmastra is one of the year’s most anticipated Indian films. It is a sci-fi fantasy drama with an original plot. While fans excitedly await the release of Brahmastra, the filmmakers have teased the public with an interesting teaser and first-look posters of the lead characters.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it will release on September 9. For the first time, Ranbir and his now-wife Alia Bhatt appear together. The two actually began dating after bonding on the film’s sets. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy also star in the film. The movie is the first trilogy that aims to construct Astraverse, India’s own cinematic world.

The shoot for the movie started in 2017 but it was marred with delays, especially due to the pandemic. The team finally completed the shoot early this year, ending with a song featuring Ranbir and Alia. It is one of the most expensive and ambitious Indian films ever filmed, with a reported budget of approximately Indian Rs300 crores.

The vast list of producers is another feature that has piqued everyone’s interest. As many as six producers are identified in the cast and crew slate near the end of the trailer. Ranbir Kapoor himself is one of them.

It is speculated that Ranbir may have become a producer for a profit-sharing deal. The move also shows how much Ranbir believes in the film and its success.

There is so much to look out for in the trailer - Isha and Shiva’s chemistry, the larger-than-life visuals, Mouni Roy’s demonic avatar, and well, of course, Ayan Mukerji’s direction.
