Pakistan headlines from 8am: Load shedding reduction, new Baloch districts

Load shedding will come down to three and a half hours from today, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi along with cabinet members said at a news conference. The government hopes to reduce it to two to one and a half hours.
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has assured Pakistanis that the government is not considering a financial emergency.
In Balochistan, all expenses of cabinet members including petrol have been reduced by 50%. The cabinet also approved three new districts. From September 1, Hub, Oosta Mohammad and Karizat will get the status of new districts. Fuel quotas for ministers and institutions should be reduced by 40%, and the Chief Executive should issue only one order, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said on Aaj News. He added that Imran Khan is not going to march anymore.
The resignation of PTI members has not been confirmed, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, has said. Not a single member of the Awami Muslim League came either. The process of confirmation of resignations will continue till June 10.
General Nadeem Raza, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee has issued a statement saying that baseless and unnecessary commentary on the national strategic program should be avoided at all costs clarified.
Indian Blasphemy The Pakistan Army has said it condemns the BJP leader’s blasphemous remarks. Pakistan’s Senate has unanimously passed a resolution condemning the statement as well and demanded a boycott of Indian products.
Dua Zehra case Karachi teenager Dua Zehra has refused to meet her parents. She recorded her affidavit in the Sindh High Court and told the judge that no one kidnapped her and she married of her own free will. She has been sent to a shelter home till medical reports confirming her age are presented.
Financials The price of gold has increased by Rs2,800 per tola and the dollar rose by two rupees and fourteen paisas in the interbank market.
Eid ul Azha 2022 Animals infected with Lumpy skin virus have surfaced in the maweshi mandi or cattle market in Karachi. Nine trucks from different cities were found to have brought them, according to the administration.
