Pakistani pop singer Abrarul Haq will take Indian filmmaker Karan Johar to court for using his song ‘Nach Punjaban’ in ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’.

Fans had been asking the singer why he hadn’t initiated legal proceedings against Johar for “stealing” Abrar’s song for his movie.

“I have not given the rights to the song to you [Karan Johar], nor anyone else,” he said in a video clip.

The Indian filmmaker said “the song is well written and the movie will be a hit”, Abrar sarcastically added in the video.

Johar only gave official credit to Abrar after the illegal use of his song went viral.

JugJugg Jeeyo, which will be released on June 24 in Indian cinemas, stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli in leading roles.
