Pakistan doesn’t have enough money to end loadshedding: Maryam
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam has said that the country does not have enough money to end power outages and blaming the preceeding PTI-led government for putting the country on the path of economic and political turmoil.
“Imran Khan has mortgaged the State Bank of Pakistan to the International Monetary Fund”, the PML-N vice president said while addressing a ceremony in Murree.
She claimed that the passage of the SBP autonomy bill was part of a conspiracy against the country.
The PML-N vice president said that PM Shehbaz was working day and night to end the loadshedding and the power crisis the country was facing due to the incompetence of the previous government.
Speaking about Shehbaz’s visit to Turkey, she said it was to invite Turkish investors to invest in Pakistan as they also had invested in Pakistan during the last tenure of the PML-N.
Lashing out at the PTI chairperson for the comments he made during an interview with a private news channel a day earlier, Maryam said that Imran had admitted that his supporters were armed.
“A large number of weapons were recovered from the house of a PTI lawmaker,” she added.
“Imran Khan has no right to call his march a peaceful protest and a political activity,” Maryam continued.
Maryam said that Imran was in search of another character like former CJP Saqib Nisar, who was embroiled in a controversy after a leaked audio tape purtportedly claiming that he tried to influence a judge to deny convict Nawaz Sharif and Maryam in a corruption case.
She claimed that Imran wants to drag the judiciary into politics after the ‘establishment turned neutral’.
She urged the judiciary to refrain from becoming part of Imran Khan’s politics. “The country cannot progress unless the PTI chairperson was stopped.”
