Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan on Thursday said that the nation started to pay price for “imported government’s subservience before foreign masters.”

“The incompetent & insensitive Govt has not pursued our deal with Russia for 30% cheaper oil,” Khan wrote on Twitter while reacting to the incumbent government’s decision to raise the prices of the petroleum products.

Earlier, the government announced to increase the prices of petroleum products by Rs. 30 per litre in a bid to revive IMF programme.

Meanwhile, the former information minister and PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry while speaking to Aaj News said that the incumbent government has no policy.

The PTI leader lashed out at the government for accepting the demands of IMF saying Pakistan could not get dictation from IMF.

Reacting to Finance Minister Miftah Ismail’s comments that the PTI-led government had laid landmines, Chaudhry said that the coalition government would not have gotten into power if the previous government had ruined the economy.

The ex-information minister said that the PTI was a party of middle-class people and it focused on the middle class of the society.

Earlier in a tweet, Chaudhry said that the price of electricity would also be increased.

Chaudhry said that PTI rejected the recent massive hike in the prices of petroleum products, adding that if they were allowed to buy cheaper oil from Russia the inflation in the country would have been reduced.
