Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan asked the people of Pakistan to seek justice for him if something were to happen to him.

Addressing a public gathering in Faislabad on Sunday, the PTI chairman said that a “conspiracy” was being hatched to assassinate him. “The conspiracy was hatched in the US and the Mir Jafars and Mir Sadiqs in the country supported the foreign conspiracy.”

A day earlier, while addressing a public gathering in Sialkot, the PTI chairman had said that he had recorded a video message that would be made public if he is assassinated.

“It will have the names and details of all those involved in the regime change that led to my ouster.”

In his today’s address, he asked the people to promise him that they would stand up against those named in his video if something bad happened to him. “You have to stand up to them and ensure they are taken to court so that the first time the powerful will face the law.”

He also asked the crowd to promise him that they would “never accept slavery” and “never vote for a party whose leaders’ money was stashed abroad”.

Referring to the ensuing inflation in the country, Imran Khan questioned the PML-N-led coalition government if it could handle the economy.

The ousted premier said that the rupee was continuing its slide against the dollar, the stock market was under pressure and inflation was soaring.

He said that unemployment was the biggest issue in the country, adding that his government had increased employment in the country. “In our three and a half years, the textile industry of Faisalabad broke all records.”

Criticizing the PMLN leadership he said that the price of chicken has doubled because Hamza Shehbaz was in the chicken business.

Speaking about Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s planned visit to the US next week, Khan said Bilawal would not be able to raise matters of public interest when he meets the Secretary of State Antony Blinken due to his vested interests.

Imran Khan claimed that Rana Sanaullah has committed 22 murders not 18, adding that one cannot qualify for ministry in their (PML-N) government till the person has committed a crime.
