Karachi police issue traffic plan for Saturday’s Youm-e-Ali procession

Procession to start from Nishtar Park and will end at Hussainian Iranian Imam Bargah

Karachi police have issued diversion routes for Ramazan 21 (Saturday) to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).

The procession is set to start by 1pm on Saturday from Nishtar Park and will end at Hussainian Iranian Imam Bargah at 8pm.

It shall pass through Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Father Jamnis Road, MA Jinnah Road, near Capri Cinema, Mansfield Street, Saddar Dawakhana, Preedy Street and will come back to MA Jinnah Road. From here it will also go to Boulton Market, Bombay Bazar, Kharadar and Nawab Mohabbat Khanjee Road.

As the procession starts at Nishtar Park, all traffic coming from the city side will be diverted towards Soldier Bazar near the Bahadur Yar Jang Road, Coast Guard, Ankle Saria to Jublie and Garden Zoo.

Traffic from Nazimabad will be diverted from Lasbella towards Nishter Road and Garden Zoo.

Vehicles coming from Liaquatabad will be diverted to Martin Road towards the Jail. From there the traffic will be permitted to proceed via Jamshed Road, Dada Bhoy Noroji Road, Kashmir Road, Shahra-e-Quaideen and Shahrah-e-Faisal road.

All kinds of traffic coming from Stadium Road shall proceed to MA Jinnah via New MA Jinnah Road. These vehicles shall be diverted from Dada Bhoy Noroji Road towards Kashmir Road, to Society Light Signal via Shahra-e-Quaideen and eventually to Shara-e-Faisal Road.

Traffic coming from Superhighway and Gulberg will be diverted from Liaquatabad No 10 towards Chowrangi No 2 Nazimabad and shall proceed via Habib Bank Flyover, Estate Avenue Road, Sher Shah to Maripur Road.
