In pictures: At least 2,280 Sikh pilgrims reach Gurdwara Panja Sahib
At least 2,280 Sikh pilgrims have reached Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hassanabdal from India to Pakistan through the Wagah Border in three special trains for the Baisakhi Mela.
Attock District Police Officer Rana Shoaib Mahmood said six DSPs, 13 inspectors,133 sub-inspectors and ASI, 42 head constables, 680 constables and 36 lady constables have been deployed to provide foolproof security to these pilgrims.
Special buses accompanied by the police force brought the pilgrims to Panja Sahib from the trains, while officials were also directed to ensure that they do not face any difficulty in getting accommodation.
