Prime Minister Imran Khan, while taking calls in a live telethon broadcast on state and private news channels as well as on radio and digital media, reiterated the accusation that the United States is behind the conspiracy to oust him while urging the youth to stand up against the the international conspiracy against him.

PM Imran's decision to take live calls from the public comes a day before the all-important no-confidence vote in the National Assembly that will decide his fate.

Before taking telephone calls, the premier told listeners that Pakistan is at a crucial juncture with the country’s future at stake.

Repeating the good versus evil mantra, he said that it is time decide whether we choose good or evil.

A society that sides with honesty and justice takes a new life. But when a society decides to stay neutral, it begins supporting the bad, he said. “Staying neutral is tantamount to supporting evil.”

Call for 'peaceful' protest

Talking about the purported threat letter that originated after an alleged conversation between a Pakistani diplomat and US official, he said the 'international conspiracy' to oust him was out in the open.

"The cabinet, NSC and the parliament's security committee have seen it. The official document says that if you remove Imran Khan, your relations with the US will get better," he said adding that the opposition would maintain their ''slovenly attitude" towards the West because they are "corrupt".

"Politicians are being bought and sold cattle to topple the government. The Mir Jaffers and Mir Sadiqs in Pakistan are helping those who hatched this conspiracy abroad," he said while urging the people to come out on the street to protest against it.

The PTI has lost its majority in the 342-member National Assembly after several coalition partners joined the opposition camp. The most notable departure is that of the MQM-P, who said that its seven lawmakers would now vote in support of the opposition on the no-trust vote against Imran Khan.

"I want you to protest and speak up against this conspiracy...not for me but for your future.

"I want you to come out and protest today and tomorrow. Come out for peaceful protests," he continued.

Traitors will face legal action

Referring to his political rivals as traitor, the premier said that history will always remeber their betrayal. "I want Pakistan's history to not forget these traitors either. It is your responsibility. Don't let them feel that you have forgotten," he continued.

He added that he would taken legal action against these individuals in response to a question from a caller. "I spent all day with my lawyers today and we have a plan in place. They wont be allowed to go free. All of them will be punished. We will decide by tonight the kind of legal action we want to take against them."
