Former President and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that he considers the establishment as neutral.

Zardari was addressing a press conference along with the opposition leaders and Aslam Bhootani, an independent member of the National Assembly from Balochistan, who today announced joining the opposition alliance.

The opposition leaders including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F's Ghafoor Haideri, BNP Chief Akhtar Mengal, and PML-N's Ayaz Sadiq were also present on the occasion.

In response to a question about the PMLQ siding ruling PTI, Zardari said that the political people always keep in touch, adding that he was surprised after the PML-Q accepted PM Imran Khan's offer to nominate Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi as the new chief minister of the province.

“Now we will decide together regarding CM Punjab, as Pervez Elahi is too late,” Zardari said.

He further said that he thought the establishment was neutral, adding that change would come soon in Punjab and that the opposition parties would jointly decide about next Chief Minister Punjab as the number game was only in the hands of the joint opposition.

Bilawal, while speaking at presser, thanked Bhootani for supporting the opposition and said that the united opposition has already completed its numbers at the time, the no-confidence motion was submitted but, today it was even higher. "It is the last week of Imran Khan's government and the opposition will emerge victorious."

Bilawal said that leveling false allegation against his opponents was PM Imran's habit, adding that the 'letter' was also a part of such habitual allegations.

To a question regarding the MQM-P, Bilawal said that no demand of MQMP was rejected, “We have to work with them for the development of the country as well as Karachi in every situation.”

During the media talk Ayaz Sadiq said that for the first time people are leaving the government and joining opposition due to Imran Khan's attitude. Imran Khan has harmed the country more than the enemy.

Bhootani informed that he took the decision after meeting with Zardari with whom he had old family relations.

Bhootani who was elected as an MNA after obtaining 70,000 votes – the highest in Balochistan, joined the PTI-led government in 2018.
