Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative Asad Umar has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is ready to share the threatening letter that proves the existence of an internationally-funded conspiracy to de-seat PM Imran Khan with Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial.

Addressing a press conference flanked by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry in Islamabad on Tuesday, the minister also revealed that due to the sensitivity of the letter, only a select few members of the civil and military leadership have been allowed to see the letter.

"The PM said that on the nation's behalf, if necessary, and for the people's satisfaction, he is ready to present the letter to the chief justice of Pakistan," said Umar.

PM Imran says 'foreign funded conspiracy' being hatched to oust his govt

On Sunday, while addressing a political gathering in Islamabad's Parade Ground, the premier had said that he had received a threatening letter because those foreign powers who were against the country's foreign policy were conspiring against the government and trying to influence the country's foreign policy, adding that these powers were involved in the opposition move to oust him.

During today's press conference, Umar further said that the 'letter' the premier was referring to could not be publicly disclosed due to it being a matter of national security.

The minister said that he himself had read the letter, adding that there are laws under which such sensitive material could be shared with responsible personalities.

"This is a very concerning thing and it is important because this letter clearly mentions the no-confidence resolution. There is no ambiguity that the no-confidence motion is being talked about," Umar continued.

The letter stated that if Imran Khan remained the prime minister, it could lead to "horrific consequences", Umar added.

The minister said the letter was dated prior to the submission of the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly.

On the characters involved in the conspiracy, Umar stated that there were no doubts regarding the involvement of one individual. "Nawaz Sharif is in London and he is having meetings...the premier will share the details [about his involvement] when he sees fit."

He added that the media has reported on Nawaz Sharifs meetings as well. "The kind of things he has been saying...the no-trust vote is one of the outcomes."

Umar also insinuated that the PDM leadership was aware of the internationally-funded conspiracy to de-seat Imran Khan.
