Coke studio Season 14 signs off with Faisal Kapadia and Young Stunners’ “Phir Milenge”
Musical franchise Coke Studio released season 14's final song ‘Phir Milenge’ on Tuesday featuring grand maestro Faisal Kapadia and hip-hop duo Young Stunners.
The track serves intense emotions and groovy vibes, all at the same time. Although this was not Kapadia's first performance since Strings (also featuring Bilal Maqsood) broke up, it was definitely one of the first songs he recorded since then.
“I was not in the state of mind to start singing again after just concluding the band, but Xulfi somehow convinced me to do this song and I’m glad that he did,” said Kapadia in a behind-the-scenes video from Phir Milenge.
For Young Stunners, performing with Kapadia was a “dream come true,” as the duo had listened to the star while growing up. “Phir Milenge is a song about memories, when someone has gone from your life but is still in your heart and soul. And where does the story end? On a new day, when we meet again,” said Xulfi.
The flowy melody fused with the groovy beat seems like an effortless work of magic all thanks to music producer Abdullah Siddiqui. “This was a really tough nut to crack,” said the 22-year-old artist. “Young Stunners have such a distinct sound and so does Faisal, so we had to find this perfect nexus where they can be fused,” he added.
Social media users can’t get enough of the track.
People also praised the song’s music video which features the three artists walking through a maze of memories displayed on the walls.
One user dubbed Phir Milenge “the perfect farewell to the season.”
But not everyone thought the same.
One person found the song to be “boring.”
Another thought Phir Milenge “doesn’t qualify to be remembered as a Coke Studio song.”
While people’s opinions of the song might differ, everybody agreed that season 14 of Coke Studio was a hit.
