The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers stormed into Islamabad's Sindh House, a day after disgruntled members of the ruling PTI made their concerns known, Aaj News reported.

According to reports, several PTI workers broke the door and entered the Sindh House.

The protest started off peacefully, but soon turned violent as demonstrators broke the gate open and stormed inside the Sindh House.

A large number PTI workers, including the youth members of the party, started demonstrating outside the lodges. The workers chanted slogans against the PTI MNAs for seeking refuge in the Sindh House.

PTI MNAs Faheem Khan and Attaullah Niazi were also among the protestors outside the Sindh House.

Faheem Khan while talking to the reporters said that the people voted them because of Imran Khan.

“If you want to go against Prime Minister Imran Khan, resign from your seat that you won on the electoral symbol of the bat,” another PTI MNA Attaullah Niazi said.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed wile condemning the incident said that he had ordered the Inspector General (IG) Islamabad to arrest those involved in the incident, adding that such type of incident would push the country towards anarchy.

Talking to the Geo News, the minister said that he had ordered to also arrest those PTI MNAs who were involved in the incident, adding that action would be taken against all those involved in the unlawful incident as per the law.

Following Rasheed's statement, police sprung into action and arrested both the PTI MNAs and several others staging protest outside Sindh House.

A first information report (FIR) against the protesters was registered at the Secretariat police station on behalf of Qurban Ali Anwar, the station house officer who was posted there, Dawn News reported.

According to the FIR, around 15 to 20 PTI members were trying to enter the Sindh House, which is located in the Red Zone where all political activities and protests are banned under Section 144 of the PPC.

"Now only option left [for the PTI] is thuggery"

Meanwhile, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said the PTI could not save its government and now the "only option left [for the PTI] is thuggery", but it would go wrong as well, she added.

In a tweet, Maryam advised the government to save whatever was left of its honour. "You are not an elected government that you would stay and fight."

'Attack on Sindh House an act of terrorism'

Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while terming the attack on Sindh House as an act of terrorism, said that crossing dozens of police checkpoints and reaching Sindh House in the Red Zone is a question mark.

The PPP chairman said that Imran Khan showed his real hatred by 'invading Sindh', adding that the "attack" on the Sindh House was "planned".

“We are not the kind of people who take the law into our own hands but we know how to deal with rebellious elements,” he said.

PPP, PML should shift 'turncoats' to some other place

Reacting to the incident in a tweet, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, said that the Sindh House was situated in a "sensitive area" in the proximity of the Chief Justice House, ministers' colony, and the residences of other important personalities.

"PPP and PML-N should shift these 'turncoats' to some other place, otherwise, this show will continue throughout the month," he said.

Talking to Dawn News later in the day, Fawad said that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was "responsible" for the incident.

"They are not worthy of living in residential areas," he said, adding that the common man was "displeased".
