Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Javed Latif has claimed that at least three dozen members of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were in 'safe custody' of the opposition.

Speaking exclusively in Aaj News programme Spot Light, the PML-N leader clarify that the PTI members willingly were not holding meeting with the members of their party. "They are either at their own residence or some one other's resident but are safe and are in contact with us."

Latif remarks comes after Speaker Punjab Assembly and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi earlier in the day claimed that ten to twelve members of the ruling PTI were in the 'Safe custody' of the opposition.

Elahi said that those government lawmakers had also approached him. "We have tracked them down but now they are nowhere to be seen."

When asked about the PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif's proposal of formation of minus PTI national government, Latif said that the united government for next five years doesn't mean the formation of government without holding the general elections but it means to work together for the betterment of the country with new government who so ever would have been elected after the election.

Latif also claimed that the opposition now doesn't need PTI allies as it has the support of more lawmakers then the required number to make no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan a success.

MQM-P meeting with Fazlur Rehman and Shehbaz Sharif

Earlier today Shehbaz and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had held final consultation with MQM-P regarding the no-trust motion.

The MQM-P during the meeting had said that it would support the opposition in its no-trust move if certain demands of the party are met.
