Police register case against first lady's son, nephews for liquor possession
The Punjab police has registered a first information report against the younger son of First Lady Bushra Bibi from her previous marriage and two others for possession of liquor reported Dawn.
The Ghalib Market police recovered a bottle of liquor and two cans of beer from a car in the wee hours of Monday wherein Muhammad Musa Maneka, his cousin Mohammad Ahmad Maneka, who is son of PML-N MNA Ahmed Raza Maneka, and their friend Ahmad Shaharyar were present, according to the FIR.
The case was lodged under the Prohibition (Enforcement of Hadd Order, 1979) subsections 3, 4 and 11 against the three suspects who were arrested while crossing a police picket on Zahoor Elahi Road.
Following the registration of the FIR, Musa and Ahmad were released on a personal guarantee from Maneka family as they had not consumed the liquor at that time, while Shaharyar was found intoxicated after his examination at a hospital, reported Dawn.
According to the report, later, Shaharyar also secured bail from the court, while the police sent the sample of the recovered liquor for forensic analysis.
