Political worker shot dead while picking child from school in Karachi
A worker of the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) was shot dead on Thursday while picking his son from school in Karachi.
According to New Karachi police, 45-year-old Salman alias Commando was picking his son from a government school in North Karachi, when he was attacked.
As per the area superintendent of police, two assailants wearing helmets and riding on a motorcycle fired at Salman, who was shot at least eight times.
The child was also shot in the leg and has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Police added that the case seemed one of personal enmity while adding that investigation was underway.
In a condolence statement, the PSP stated that the deceased was a former member of a district committee of New Karachi and also served as in-charge of its election cell.
