Legendry Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar has been put on a ventilator after her health deteriorated once again due to Covid-19 and pneumonia related complications, The Hindustan Times reported.

Doctors say her condition is critical and she will remain under observation, it added.

The news comes two weeks after reports that she was stable and eating food on her own again. She tested positive for the virus on January 9 and was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on January 12 where she was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Many have taken to Twitter to wish her a speedy recovery, while some have taken scorn to how no A-List celebrity from Bollywood has asked after or wished the ailing singing legend well.
