Chances are you already pretty much know who Shiza and Fizza are and why they are trending on social media since a video clip from A-Plus TV’s 2020 drama called Judwaa has Twitterati in fits since Thursday.

Showing a bride freak out on her wedding night when she realises that her groom is actually her brother-in-law, husband of her twin sister who was married into the same house, the scene has people scratching their heads in confusion.

What happened? Are the grooms also twins? How did they end up in the wrong rooms? How did they couples not recognise each other? There are a million questions that arise when you first watch that clip.

Social media users expressed this confusion through memes and trolls.

Here’s a clip of us trying to explain the Shiza-Fizza issue.

What really happened was that twin sisters, Shiza and Fizza married brothers Faraz and Zain the old fashioned way – without having seen them. The brothers’ phuppo, whose daughter is in love with one of the brothers decided to switch the brides’ rooms on their wedding night, and the grooms end up swapping brides.

The telefilm is part of a anthology series called Haqeeqat, which is a collection of real-life family stories.

These memes shared by some users have us laughing-out-loud.
