Taliban assured that Afghan land will not be used against Pakistan: FM Qureshi
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Afghan leadership had assured that Afghan land will not be used against Pakistan or any other neighbouring country.
Addressing the media in Multan on Sunday, while speaking about the premier's visit to China, he said the Prime Minister would hold important meetings with the Chinese leadership on various issues of mutual interest, including bilateral trade and regional security situation.
"PM Khan's visit to China will further give impetus to bilateral strategic relations in diverse sectors," he added.
On demotic front, the foreign minister said that two-third majority is needed in the Parliament to pass the amendments regarding creation of Southern Punjab province.
Talking about the Sindh Local Government Act, Qureshi said that all parties had rejected it, adding that the PML-N was saying that PPP has done injustice with them.
To a question about call of long march by the opposition, Shah Mahmood Qureshi urged the opposition to avoid path of violence and join hands with the government in its efforts to put country on road to progress and development.
He said that making South Punjab a province is included in our manifesto, if the opposition parties are so concerned about making South Punjab a province, they must move forward and join hands with the federal government.
