A suspended police official was among two people shot dead in Karachi's Soldier Bazar area on Friday when unidentified men opened fire on the victims who were on a motorcycle, reported Aaj News.

The two men were critically injured and shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment, but they succumed to the injuries and died in the hospital.

The victims were identified as Javed and Musaddaq, a sub-inspector who was suspended from the post.

According to the initial reports, the incident appears to be one of personal enmity, with police stating that the culprits did not snatch anything from the victims.
