Three new additional judges of IHC take oath
Three newly appointed additional judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) took oath on Friday in the federal capital.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah administered the oath to the newly appointed judges, namely, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, Justice Saman Raffat Imtiaz and Justice Arbab Mohammad Tahir.
Justice Khan holds a BA Hons (Juris) from the University of Oxford. He is a Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn and also served as an advocate of the Lahore High Court in 1994. His father Sardar Ishaq Khan was a leading criminal law expert of the country.
Justice Imtiaz, who has been practicing law in Karachi since 2004, obtained her law degree from the University of Richmond, Virginia, USA, after completing her undergraduate in business administration from the American University in Dubai.
Justice Tahir was working as the advocate general of Balochistan.
The ceremony was attended by judges, representatives of the high court bar and other senior lawyers.
Number of IHC judges now stands at nine after the appointment of three new judges.
