Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday categorically stated that the government will not spare anyone in future who will oppress someone in the name of religion and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

He said this while addressing a condolence reference for Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana at the Prime Minister Office (PMO).

The premier also revealed that the Sialkot business community has collected $100,000 for late Kumara's family and the factory where the Sri Lankan national was employed has decided that the bereaved family will get Kumara's salary for lifetime.

Lauding the courage of Malik Adnan who tried to save life of Kumara, the prime minister adressing him directly said: "We are proud of you [Malik Adnan] that you attempted to save his [Kumara's] life.

"As you tried to save Kumara's life, everyone felt a single human was amongst animals and the youth will remember that you were standing against animals," he said, adding a country needs role models and Adnan proved to be one through the act.

Adnan will be awarded Tamgha-e-Shujaat on March 23, 2022.

In his address, the premier said: "We all are lovers of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The people — who love him — will have to obey his lifestyle. We should teach our children about the lifestyle of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) so that they know why he was called Rehmatul-lil-Alameen."

The prime minister mentioned that people were killing and burning eachother in the name of Prophet (peace be upon him). "No lawyer takes up cases of the persons who are incarcerated on the charges of blasphemy as a result the person has noone who will defend him in the court."
