The wedding reception ceremony of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz's son Junaid Safdar will be held on December 17.

After much speculation, Junaid posted the news on Instagram on Saturday. The event is going to be held in Lahore, reported Dawn.

Junaid tied the knot with Aisha Saifur Rehman at a lavish reception at The Lanesborough, a swanky hotel in Knightsbridge in August. His parents, Maryam and Captain Safdar did not attend the wedding as they were not allowed to leave the country and his mother said she wouldn't ask this government for permission to attend the event.

A video of Junaid singing at his nikah has been widely shared and praised on social media.

Ayesha is the daughter of Saifur Rahman Khan, a close confidante of Nawaz Sharif, who was made chairman of the then Ehtesab Bureau during Nawaz's second tenure as prime minister in 1997.
