Prime Minister Imran Khan said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz called the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf "fascist" but the opposition party was "more than that", reported Geo. The premier was in a party meeting when he brought up PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz's audio leak in which she refuses to give ads to certain media outlets.

Quoting sources, the report stated the prime minister said the audio clip had exposed the opposition party's secrets. He questioned in what capacity the PML-N leader issued the directives.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Maryam confirmed the authenticity of the viral audio clip in which she can be heard instructing someone to stop advertisements to four TV channels.

“I was running the party’s media cell at that time and it is an old audio clip,” she said in the press conference.

Accoring to the report, the prime minister, during the party meeting, discussed the issue of soaring inflation in Karachi and other issues being faced by people of Sindh. The premier held the Sindh government accountable for the wheat crisis therein.

The prime minister censured policies of the provincial government which, according to him, were leading to high rate of inflation in Karachi in comparison with other parts of the country. "The Sindh government did not take action against hoarders which led to wheat crisis," he said.
