A video of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairperson Ramiz Raja has gone viral on social media in which he can be heard telling off security officials at the Dubai Cricket Stadium who were telling Pakistani reporters to move away from the stadium.

In the video, Raja can be seen speaking to reporters after the T20 World Cup final match between Australia and New Zealand on Sunday. In the midst of the briefing, the stadium security officials were asking the media officials to move away.

The PCB chairperson in the video can be heard saying: "Excuse me! Just give me two minutes. Okay? Give me two minutes. Fine? Wait! Wait! This is the press of Pakistan. Just give me two minutes."

Immediately a reporter in the video said: "Thank you Ramiz bhai."

As soon as Raja came out of a stadium's gate, Pakistani reporters surrounded him and asked questions about the performance of the Pakistani team in the tournament.

The PCB chairperson in a lighter mood said: "Let me take breath for a while. No one has attacked me like that before."

In his talk to the media, Raja lauded the role played by Babar Azam being the captan of the team. He praised the leadership of the Pakistan cricket team, saying the leader expressed himself, owned the team and then "the team gave a befitting response".

He further said being an ex-cricketer he talks to the cricket team to give them clarity of the situation. "I talk to them as a cricketer and not a [PCB] chairperson," he added.

Talking about the criticism over Hassan Ali, who was being censured for dropping a catch in the semi-final, Raja said he has to work hard twice. Such a situation irritates a player a lot and it will take time to overcome the "nightmare" Ali has faced, he added.

"If I had been at his [Hassan Ali] place, I would have double the fielding [practice] and I would not have thought about the incident," he said, adding, it is not the end of the world.
