Muhammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik declared fit for Australia semi-final
Muhammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik have been declared fit to play in semi-final against Australia in Dubai.
Both players had missed training session on Wednesday with mild flu. The players cleared their respective Covid-19 tests yesterday, however, they had been advised to rest. After further tests, today, the duo were given the clearance to play the match.
Both Rizwan and Malik have played an integral role for Pakistan in the tournament. Rizwan is the second-highest run-scorer for the team, after captain Babar Azam, with 214 runs. His opening partnership with Babar and his role behind the stumps have been a major factor in Pakistan winning all their Super 12 matches.
Malik, meanwhile, has been important for Pakistan in finishing the innings along with Asif Ali. Against Scotland, Malik scored the joint-fastest half-century of the tournament, which is also the fastest half-century by a Pakistani in any T20I match.
