The Central Committee of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan on Wednesday accused Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid of lying that matters between it and the government have been resolved.

“Let the entire nation see the malicious intent of the government,” read a statement by the TLP's central committee, according to a report published in Dawn.

“Sheikh Rashid lied yesterday that the matters have been resolved. He also lied about the contact. [with us] at 8 pm – He has not been contacted by any government official including Sheikh so far [us]”, the statement quoted TLP leader Syed Sarwar Shah Saifi as saying.

Rasheed, on Tuesday, had said that the government was ready to accept the TLP’s demands except the closure of the French embassy.

He also said the government and the TLP had reached an agreement on all other issues and that he would approach the group again at 8 pm.

But the group denied any contacts with the interior minister.

TLP had said that it would now march onto Islamabad as the government has announced that it could not except TLP's demand of expulsion of French ambassador.

According to the statement, Saifi said if more blood is shed the demands will increase and the country will “get rid of this dishonest, false and hypocritical government”.

Saifi said, “Are these claimants of the state of Madina unable to respond to France? Have they become so enslaved to the Jews and the Christians?”

“Don’t lie to the country. No talks are taking place with us. The government is not honest in talks, but if more blood is shed now, revenge will be taken,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while chairing a meeting of the federal cabinet, issued directives to stop the long march planned by the banned TLP.

According to the sources the premier said that that the government will not allow violence for political purposes.
